Gparted not starting on Ubuntu 18.04

After upgrade to bionic beaver Gparted did not start anymore. When starting in console I got this error:

(gpartedbin:6084): Gtk-WARNING **: 19:17:57.517: cannot open display: :0

Turns out, this is a problem with wayland and can be solved with this easy workaround:

xhost +SI:localuser:root
